Do you feel overcommitted? Are you nearing burnout or already there? Do you desire a healthier work/life balance?
If you said, “Yes”, to any of these questions, then maybe it’s time to exercise your “No” a little more.
“No” can be such a hard word. Some of the most common answers we hear about why it’s hard can be distilled into these “categories”:
* Not wanting to disappoint others / wanting to please others
* WANTING to do all the things! (Hello, high performing, self-driven, dopamine-seeking, ADHDers like me!)
* Not knowing if one has the authority/permission to *actually* have their “no” heard and honored.
Center of Daring supports our clients (whether individuals or entire agencies) through facilitated activities to identify their values, priorities, goals and to get real with themselves about their capacity. Once identified, these make for some great filters to consider BEFORE saying “yes” to new opportunities or commitments.
It’s getting to the time of year where many of us start reflecting on how we spent our time and energy over the last several months and start figuring out what our goals and priorities are for the upcoming year.
If you could use some support in exercising your “no” and making progress toward the work/life balance you desire, consider booking us for an Exercising Boundaries, Navigating/Preventing Burnout, or New Reality Vision Board workshop, or scheduling some one-on-one coaching with Liz.

Does is fit within my actual capacity? 4. Will it get me closer to my goals? The Center of Daring logo of a 2D rainbowy dodecahedron is at the bottom.]
