TRANSFORM THE WAY YOU LEAD. WITH COURAGE, CLARITY, AND ADAPTIVE SKILL.

Leadership Training

Center of Daring’s Leadership Training is rooted in the Kansas Leadership Center (KLC) framework, a nationally recognized approach that helps people learn to lead from where they are, no matter their position or background. These sessions blend reflection, skill-building, and application—so participants leave not just inspired, but equipped to make tangible change in their organizations and communities.

Who It’s For

Organizations and teams ready to strengthen their leadership culture and empower staff at every level.

Executives, managers, and emerging leaders who want to sharpen their ability to lead through complexity.

Nonprofits, coalitions, and community groups navigating change or growth.

Businesses committed to improving communication and teamwork.

What You’ll Learn

Each session is built around one or more of the following KLC modules, customized for your group’s goals, size, and time frame:

  • Life in the Gap & The KLC Framework
Learn to recognize the “gap” between where you are and where you want to be—and how to work intentionally in that space.

  • Diagnose the Situation
Identify the technical and adaptive elements of a challenge, and practice seeing your system from the balcony.

  • Manage Self
Deepen awareness of your strengths, vulnerabilities, and triggers. Learn to experiment beyond your comfort zone and stay grounded under pressure.

  • Energize Others
Build trust, work across factions, and mobilize people with different perspectives toward shared goals.

  • Intervene Skillfully
Learn how to raise the heat just enough to spark change—without burning people out. Practice making small, strategic moves that create momentum.

  • On the Balcony (Art of the Debrief)
Step back from the day-to-day to reflect on what’s working, what’s not, and what adaptive leadership looks like in your real context.

Each training can stand alone or be combined into a multi-session leadership development series.

The KLC Approach

The KLC model teaches that leadership is an activity, not a role that anyone can practice. It focuses on four core competencies that help people diagnose challenges, manage themselves, energize others, and intervene skillfully to move the work forward.

Our trainings go beyond theory. Through a mix of guided discussion, storytelling, and real-world application, participants learn to identify adaptive challenges, understand their impact on systems, and experiment with new ways of leading.
